| To reduce the risk of needlestick injury, AstraZeneca has designed Zoladex SafeSystem, which incorporates a new built-in safety feature for the administration of Zoladex. After fully depressing the plunger, a protective sleeve is activated which fully covers the needle as it is withdrawn from the subcutaneous tissue. Zoladex SafeSystem delivers the same pre-loaded biodegradable implant that is administered by a simple subcutaneous injection either monthly (3.6mg) or every 13 weeks (10.8mg). |
