Cardura XL (doxazosin extended release)
Manufacturer: Pfizer Cardura XL (doxazosin extended release) is a new formulation of doxazosin, a medication used to treat the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Cardura XL (doxazosin extended release) belongs to a class of medications—called alpha-blockers—that work to increase urine flow and decrease symptoms such as urinary frequency, urgency, nighttime urination, and incontinence associated with BPH. The most common side effects experienced with Cardura XL (doxazosin extended release) are: low blood pressure dizziness lightheadedness nausea. Cardura XL (doxazosin extended release) is available in Cardura XL 4 mg and 8 mg tablets. The usual recommended treatment with Cardura XL is 4 mg once daily with breakfast, which may be increased to 8 mg once daily with breakfast. Cardura XL Tablets should be swallowed whole, not crushed or divided. Cardura XL (doxazosin extended release) is not for everyone.
