Nexavar (Sorafenib) is indicated for the treatment of patients with Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma. Nexavar (Sorafenib)may prevent the growth and spread of cancer.
Nexavar (Sorafenib) is a prescription, anticancer medicine used to treat adults with kidney cancer. Side effects of Nexavar: -A skin problem called hand-foot skin reaction -High blood pressure -Heart problems -Bleeding problems -Rash, redness, or itching of your skin -Numbness, tingling, or pain in your hands and feet -Diarrhea (frequent and/or loose bowel movements) -Nausea and/or vomiting -Loss of appetite -Hair thinning or patchy hair loss -Mouth sores -Weakness Nexavar (sorafenib) is a pill that should be taken by mouth and swallowed whole. It is usually taken as two 200-mg tablets twice a day. Do not crush or chew Nexavar (Sorafenib) tablets. You should take Nexavar (Sorafenib) with water on an empty stomach (at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal). Store Nexavar (Sorafenib) tablets at room temperature between 59° to 86° F (15° to 30° C), in a dry place. Nexavar (Sorafenib) is supplied in bottles of 120 tablets (This is a one month supply of medicine) as the recommended amount is 4 tablets daily. Women should not get pregnant during treatment with Nexavar and for at least 2 weeks after stopping treatment. |
