Elaprase (Idursulfase) is an enzyme replacement therapy from Shire Human Genetic Therapies.
Elaprase (Idursulfase) is designed to replace iduronate-2-sulfatase (I2S), the enzyme that is deficient or absent in people with Hunter syndrome. Elaprase (Idursulfase) is a weekly infusion therapy, which means it is given intravenously (by IV). Elaprase (Idursulfase) is designed to treat the underlying cause of Hunter syndrome by replacing the iduronate-2-sulfatase (I2S) enzyme which is deficient or absent in people with Hunter syndrome. |
