Pataday (Olapatidine) ophthalmic solution is an antihistamine used to prevent itching of the eyes due to allergies.
How to use Pataday (Olapatidine):
First, wash your hands. Tilt your head back and, with your index finger, pull the lower eyelid away from the eye to form a pouch. Drop the medicine into the eye pouch and gently close your eyes. Remove excess medicine around your eye with a clean tissue or a swab, (be careful not to touch your eye). Wash your hands to remove any medicine that may be on them. Make sure not to touch the applicator tip to any surface, including your eye when inserting the Pataday medicine in to your eyes.
Pataday Side Effects can include headache, mild stinging or burning, eye pain, dryness of the eye, redness in the eye, or tearing. But these are usually mild and may go away with treatment. Pataday eye drops may cause mild stinging or burning when you first put it in your eye. Contact your doctor if the stinging continues.
