Tecta is the brand name for the medication pantoprazole magnesium.
Tecta (pantoprazole magnesium) helps relieve the symptoms of GERD and is a once-a-day treatment for symptomatic GERD. Tecta (pantoprazole magnesium) is indicated for the treatment of conditions where a reduction of gastric acid secretion is required, such as the following: • Duodenal ulcer • Gastric ulcer • Reflux esophagitis • Symptomatic gastro-esophageal reflux disease (such as, acid regurgitation and heartburn). Tecta™ (pantoprazole magnesium) is a new salt form of pantoprazole sodium (Pantoloc™ - which recently went generic). Tecta (pantoprazole magnesium) is a new salt form of pantoprazole sodium (Pantoloc in Canada and Protonix in the US) marketed by Nycomed Canada. Dose = 40mg once daily in the morning for most indications. |
